While it is rather well made

And easy to listen to, I think you lose points for just having the same thing going over and over again. I don't really hear any new instruments come in anywhere after the first drop. I think even some of my songs have that problem some times...

djhoohaa responds:

it was intentional and deliberately repetitive xD thanks for the listen

To the guy below

I'd continue on to say it's a LOLWUT?step. i think this could make it as a subgenre with enough support. And I agree with Babokon. It makes me smile, too :)

Jacob responds:

LOLWUT?
Also, I'm glad I made you smile. :] Your review has done the same for me. Who woulda thunk I could've just written a review, rather than making this song? Anywho, you are my hero, Soulbud, and I thank you for writing such a generous review. Would you mind fathering my children?

While wonderful for the most part

The bass just feels too raw when it hits the higher notes, creating an awkward balance of things in the song. Other than that, i love it. The choirs are an amazing touch. I think I should try them sometime.

Tzunami responds:

Well, with the song being horror-based and the fact that the wobble I created sounded like electricity, I figured it wouldn't hurt at all since it sounded like an experiment going on. As well, I'm sure every experiment in the world didn't go without a hitch, so why not mess with the sound a bit.

Welll...

Personally, the intro is quite... lacking? Idk. i find the synth used for the entirety of up to 1:06 a bit on the annoying side. The attack to it is just awkward to me. The build to the drop (as in just the kicks) is a bit underwhelming, while the opposite goes for the drop. The synth you used in the drop overpowered the actual sound of the bass sometimes, and the rest of the time, the bass was just too raw and over powering. I think it still needs work on mastering, and perhaps adding and removing a synth here n' there. I give a 7 for the effort, but I'm not too fond of this piece. sorry if I'm coming off as a dick in this review.

GirlStep responds:

Read TIMarbury's review on this song; it response to your criticism.

Much better than simple, non-melodic stuff

I can't stand the modern, repetitive, non-energizing crap that most house is nowadays. This is good stuff here.

TheBiocide responds:

Thanks man, glad I could change it up for ya :)

What is this a remix of?

Cuz it's in the videogame genre, yet it is so VERY ambient.

Not to say this is bad.

This song is really a great song for chilling out and playing a puzzle game or 2 to.

PianoFortress responds:

I'm sorry but I couldn't figure out the source yet. If someone recognizes the melody and can help me out I'd be thankful.

I agree with the below

For the most part. I really like the high pitched phaser. It blended well with the song's mood. I honestly didn't really care for the beginning. I got really bored with it. Luckily, I skipped ahead a little, which kept me from just leaving. This is a really good ambient piece. I could imagine a dub-hop piece to this. Someone should put lyrics over this... Really good job here man.

nightsurfermusic responds:

I wanted a fairly progressive intro for the song, but perhaps I took a bit too much time with it. Thank you all the same for the review. :D

Well, it's definitely a start.

The intro is good, liking the syncopation. However, the drop is desperately lacking anything extra. Try to get something else in there. Random noises, a little extra rawr-bass behind it, or some synth of some kind.

Overall, you've got a good start here in my opinion.

DjWalom responds:

Thakyou!

This would work for madness

But honestly, it's just so damn minimal. There isn't all that much going on throughout the song. That's not to say I don't like it, but the drums are the star of the show here, with a rather cliche beat for most of it (like it when it changes at 1:40), and there just isn't much in the way of variation in the tone at all. Could be better, but decent as it is.

TheBiocide responds:

That's a pretty fair review, thanks man.

In all honesty, this was a song I had been working on off and on for quite some time. I just decided to finish it up and upload it to NG cuz I don't like to wait for a long time to upload my stuff :I Not to say I didn't give a shit about it, I just have other projects that I'm far more concerned with.

I didn't think this song was great but I did think it was good enough to upload, and judging from your review I'd say you were thinking about the same :)

Im really digging this for some reason

I'm not sure why... it's just really freaking catchy. I like this a lot.

amtrack responds:

thank you. I m glad you like it.
