not the best I've heard,

but I'll be DAMNED if it isn't addicting.

I-Saved-The-World responds:

Addictive techno is the best :D

Needs a bit of mastering

But the lyrics... GOD the lyrics are amazing. You have some big stuff ahead of you. But the beat, when behind your lyrics, seems a bit quiet. And it's a really good beat. It should be brought up a little.

Luke responds:

I might mix this one down a bit more my man, I've learned a bit since - I love this song, and I'm glad you do as well. Real happy to hear you're digging those lyrics - That was the mission!

Eh.

I liked it for a while, but the drop never really changes. It's decent if you're just lost in your mind, but focusing on it kind of deters me from it.

Still a download, though.

Jassummisko responds:

Loosing my mind is my primary objective in life!

It belongs under techno

This is not dubstep in the least bit.

As what it is, it's not all that great. It's interesting, and the sounds do blend together nicely, it just isn't anything special or catchy in composition to me. Might be good as background music in a racing game, like what you had in mind when creating the song, but as a standalone piece I don't like it too much. Ok, now that it's been looping for a few minutes, it's kinda growing, but still.

BlowinMoneyENT responds:

lol

I hear Seether and Alice in Chains :3

Sorry about the comparison, I tend to do that with rock/metal.

This is by far one of the best heavy metal songs I've ever heard on Newgrounds, let alone all time.

If only there was to be a sequel to Queen of the Damned, cuz this would fit perfectly.

Bret2009 responds:

Thanks you very much, glad you dig this song so much. And yeah i could definetly see the comparison, listened allot to alice in chains.
Thanks for the review man !

I'm not the only one thinking it sounds a lot like

Megadeth, right?

Except when the screaming of fuck you comes in.
I hear a cross of Lamb of God (music), and Megadeth, definitely.

All in all, I'm liking it. Normally I stay out of the rock sections on Newgrounds, but now I think I might come more often.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks a lot! Comparisons like those, make me feel pretty fucking good. haha.

Keep coming around, man. Lots of wicked artists in the genre!

The voice makes me happy

As well as the pads, cuz they remind me of the Theme of e-102 Y in Sonic Adventure. Good memories.

Pretty good song btw. Oh, and it reminds me a little of Art Style: Light Trax :3

YakovlevArt responds:

Aww your review makes me happy because i fuckin' LOVE sonic!
Also you referenced Light Trax in another review of my tracks, haha.

But I'm glad it makes you feel good.

Interesting

I love the intro.
The drop needs some work, and is quite repetitive.
I loved your interesting use of OoT sounds :)
Aside from the bass, pretty original.

All in all, decent.

CowardlyLion responds:

Thank you very much!

Pretty good.

This is the second time I've heard of the Magic 8-bit plugin. For most of my chips, I use VL1, a casio calculator emulator.

Is the plugin free?

Anyway, pretty good song. I found the bass line's rhythm a little awkward, but the composition of the song itself is pretty good.

Deepshade responds:

Yes it is! , can be found and downloaded @

VL1 ? sounds interesting, i'll have to look into that !
mostly i write on an actual gameboy using LSDJ , and yes, the bassline is a bit off at certain points, i was just making some drum sounds with the synth, and then it evolved into a song ! its amazing what you can do with just basic waveforms ^^

Eh.

It seems a lot of work is needed.

Idk just how new you are, but you need to get some better vsts. Message me if you want some decent links as well as some better percussion than those defaults.

Speaking of percussion, the hats are too loud and don't seem to blend too well with the rest of the song, and the kicks (when not amid the drop) seem slightly underpowered.

Also, turn down that "DJ Drop" thing.

mayaismybitch responds:

Yea, im pretty new, hey thanks for the tips, I'll put all that into consideration on my next song! Some better vsts would be awesome, thanks!
