Was not a fan of the intro. Im glad the square-ping type synths were brought it; that is definitely what saved it in my opinion.

Good remix.

I will indulge your happiness, as this song indulges mine.

This is by far the best Glitchstep I have ever heard. I can not think of a single comparison (second place now falls to Living Hell by JPhelpz).

This is so beautifully made. It is simply relaxing, and carries your emotions away. I could easily picture a video in my head for this.

I love this masterpiece.

Numi responds:

Wow dude. Thanks for the kind words! You have no idea what it means to me as a musician to hear something like that about something I wrote. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

I really like the spacial feel of it all. I still have yet to be able to mix ponies into my music (I am working on it).

I enjoy this song quite a bit.

I recognize the guitar VST. Revitar? (Can't remember the name)

To me, this is very videogame-y. It is quite original, however the percussion seems pretty basic.

If I had to guess, I would say you haven't been at this for a while.

For what it is, it is pretty decent. The wobble bass is... hard to explain. I'm kinda neutral on it.

Anyway, decent job.

thanks for the review!

the guitar is a default plugin for FLStudio.

My only complaint are the odd vocal samples in the background of the drop-- they aren't quite fitting in my opinion.

Other than that it's great, though. Still love your bass synths.

TheBiocide responds:

Three of my favorite people to hear from comment in a row - it's a sign! Haha!
But really, thanks, man. I'm glad you enjoyed the tune for the most part :)

I agree with below. Especially when the synth jumps between notes the second time around. It doesn't it and breaks the flow pretty bad. It was a nice try though.

Indigorain responds:

Thanks for the criticism man, I'll get to that! :D

This has quite the trancey feel in the beginning (which I noticed you have as a tag). The drop is filthy, to be sure. The synths in the drop feel like they could be a little better balanced, with a little more emphasis on the treble (your bass is very strong though). Also a little more on just the middle frequencies in general (raising the volume on snares, melody, etc.) would be nice.

I'm enjoying what I'm hearing. I'm feeling the ethereality of this piece, but not as much emotion. I think the second drop is just a bit mashed up, as is the ending (a little too much reverb). While I enjoy reverb, some parts seem a little excessive.

I hope you took this as constructive criticism and not some asshole trying to weigh you down.

MattReeves responds:

Thanks man! Yeah, my mixing skills aren't very impressive. You got me there. Although I don't really agree about the "emotion" part. I guess it varies from person to person, but a lot of emotion was put into this song, and I think it certainly shows. Anyway, I really appreciate the feedback. I need to go through all the reviews like this and actually apply them, haha.

You, Biocide, are one of the few artists that can use the same bass synth in multiple songs and keep it fairly fresh sounding.

Another job well done.

TheBiocide responds:

Ahhh, thanks a ton, man :) I feel that way about a few artists as well so I really appreciate you saying that about me. Much love, dude <3

Always good to hear from ya!

A thing of retro beauty. This is an amazing example of what can be done with 8-bit music.

Perfect.
