Well, very slow start.

And the bass is lacking for the most part throughout most of this piece. You are definitely getting the hang of how the drop should be, but now you need bring the bass to a more central role alongside the synths. I can definitely see you're improving, which is good :)

TuRdz responds:

Thanks man! :D

I rather like this

It has something about it that just makes me happy... Normally I don't really like this type of DnB, but IDK. I like this.

axzeax12 responds:

Thanks, that means alot!!! really, it does!

Something is just sounding out of key

sometimes... Other than that this is a pretty good piece, I suppose.

SupraDarky responds:

Hmm, it might be the offbeat bass? Ty.

I've heard a couple other tracks of yours

And this by far your best so far. I love the synths.

Acid-Paradox responds:

Thanks , I always try to improve from my previous track!

i do most of my stuff in a day as well.

I just try my best to avoid repetition. i guess that's why i also tend to avoid making a lot of house music, too. You should look into some other kind of piano. Sounds like FL Keys to me, but who knows. Find some soundfonts if your software supports it.

No way to deny or apologize about sounding like a dick in this review, so sorry for that.

Masterpeace responds:

It's ok to be like that, I will accept all negative comments, negative comments help me to improve ^-^

It just feels underwhelming

It's good for a bit, but it never gets any more or less intense. Good job on the wobbles, now lets just hear some more variation in the song itself. Perhaps some builds and such.

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

Perhaps, but I don't plan on going back and changing this song, but I'll keep that in mind.

thanks.:3

Has a very 80's feel

In your use of Sytrus synths. Which is nice, but yes it is repetitive a little bit. The beat for the first 2:23 is VERY underwhelming. You've got a good start here.

Find some more vst's to use. VSTplanet.com has a very large list of free and mostly good vst's.

And in a phrygian dominant scale, you say? Hmmm... That should give it a more original feel. I can't think of too many songs that feature that. Good luck.

23i responds:

I had yet to master the true ways of plugins and shizz, I actually made this all in all in one pattern wich itself, not only is stupid, but retarded. Altho it's quite decent, phygrian dominant scales wont reach out to the majority of the audience. Thanks for the VST advice, however, I'm cracking it. If you could've reviewed earlier maybe I could've learned something q:

Take care mate.

Make more of it.

It really is good, but needs a little more to it.

It reminds me a TON of the theme of E102 Gamma from Sonic Adventure(/DX). That song is amazing. in my honest opinion, you should check it out and try to employ some of the ideas used in that song. This could benefit greatly from it.

Good piece so far, though.

Rinibra responds:

Thanks! I'll do that.

i was seriously enjoying it until...

That bubbly synth that came in along side the arp. The bubbly synth just doesn't fit very well to me. And it persists for far too long. I'm looking forward to the finished track, but please do something about that synth...

DXVanille responds:

Hey, bro, thanks for reviewing! :D

I'll tone it down on the bubbly synth, yeah. Make it fit better, ya know. Maybe take it out for the viola part.

Glad you were enjoyin' it, though!
